Airports

The drive from Denver to Ouray is about six hours. There are a few airports that are closer than Denver, including Montrose and Telluride. Montrose is very small and only about 30 minutes away from Ouray, but it can be difficult to find tickets at a reasonable price. But it's possible to sometimes find a flight only $100 more than flying into Denver. Telluride is about an hour and a half south of Ouray, so flying there would probably mean you'll need to rent a car as well.

Places to stay in Ouray

Ouray has a great variety of places to stay, including cabins, hotels and Airbnbs depending on what you're looking for. Ouray Riverside Resort is our favorite, and we'll be staying in one of the cabins from Wednesday, Sept. 30 to Monday, Oct. 5.
